Its Fall, Y'all!!! ;)

Wow, its been 4 months since I've wrote a post and today is the first day of Fall! :) All the rabbits are doing well and we have been to 2 more shows since I last updated and we have another one next Saturday, the 29th.

We went to the Ladson, SC Triple Open/Triple Youth show on August 4th and had some nice placements. Show A we won BOB in the Netherland Dwarf's with AC and BOB in the Holland Lops with Darla. In the meantime we bought a Broken Tort Jr buck from Gary and Susan Smith. Show B he won BOB. In Show C AC won BOG and Rewy won BOS.

   Smith's Sugar Bear

We went to Greensboro on the 15th and had a lot of fun. Show A Sugar Bear won BOSV. Show B he won BOS and Show C he won BOV. Show C Mr. Collins (Jr Black Otter ND) Won BOSV. We also picked up a few additions to the Holland Herd. They are posted on the "Holland Lops page" of our site.

I am really excited about some of our Jr's :). Here is Son Rose Mr. Collins. A Black Otter Jr Buck who also carries Chocolate and will help in our Chocolate program. He is only 3 1/2 months old so his head still has some developing to do.

Speaking of Chocolates... "Twix" our Chocolate Otter doe has a Chocolate doe, a Chocolate Otter doe, and a Black Doe:). Very excited about these.. especially this one:

Enjoy the beautiful fall weather!

Lots of updates....

I have been meaning to update the Blog for a while..... We have had lots of changes since last post. Here are some of the big ones:
1) We "sold out" of Shaded Holland Lops. We have sold most and have decided to focus on Blues, Blue Torts, torts and a few otters. We also have "Kissie" our Choc. Otter doe that we hope to breed type into.
We have decided that we will most likely keep Macy's Sable Point as a small "side project" and breed on a very small scale.

2) is not so big. We sold out of Fuzzy Lops. They were taking a lot of time and we really need to focus on HL's for now.

We have lots of babies right now :). I think like 24 kits under 8 weeks old. And lots of JR's as well. And I counted all the bunnies in the barn on Sunday..... *76* is our total number. Of course that counts each and every one but still....

We drove up to TN in April and got Sable Point Netherland Dwarf's :). I am really excited about developing some. I think I'll breed Amy my JR SS doe into it as she has Sable Points in the back ground and has nice type. I've bred Splash to the buck already. Can't wait for that litter!  I think she carries the gene, two of her sisters were Torts.

Columbia was this past Saturday. For us it was a looong day. For the Youth breeds there was quite a few breeds and in show A, ND's were last. Holland Lops were towards the beginning. Our results:
Show A Holland Lops: We only had two that we took to show this time. We took Boaz and Darla. Boaz, took Best Solid Junior buck. There were four. We thought that was good as he is only three months old. Darla took like 2nd I think.

Show A Netherland Dwarf's: Competition wasn't very good at all. However we still did well. Silver took Best of Breed and Nathan took Best Opp. Sex of Breed. :) The judge gave Isa BOSG in Shadeds (there was enough bunnies but not people). And Kya was the only AOV so she got BOG lol.

And then HL's in show B were first and and ND's second.
Holland Lops: Boaz took like 2nd this time. I think Darla did too.
Netherland Dwarf's:  Nathan got BOG and Amy got BOSG. Kya again got BOG :). And then.. Nathan won BOB. So we had to stay until the end. But it was worth it because he won BIS!! :) He now has four legs and two BIS's. :)

We are planning on going to the Netherland Dwarf Rendezvous on June 9th. Looking forward to that. It

Well, I think that about sums it up. Rose, Mask, Daphne, and Susan are due this weekend. :) Rose and Mask to Rocket, Daphne and Susan to Frank.

~ April is here and Spring has begun ~

I haven't blogged in a while. I think I'll start with the Conyers show. Remember I got Rose and Liberty? Well about two days before the show, I got Rose's son Liberty's Brother. He is a Siamese Sable and had won BOG in Spartanburg. So I entered this little buck in the show and in show A he won BOB in the Youth show. He then went on to win BIS!!! Irene won BOB.

All the babies are doing great! Splash had babies on the 28th. Looks like a Broken Choc. and a Broken Black with not much pattern. Peanut Butter's baby, is a Blue Otter doe! We are keeping her. Here are some pics.

New Chocolate Otter Holland Lop doe. We are excited to work with this color!

Picked up this Siamese Smoke Pearl buck at Conyers.

Chanelle's Chocolate doe.

Tort Holland Lop buck out of Willow. Keeping

Peanut Butter's Blue Otter doe. Keeping

They took pictures for the show A at Conyers. Here are some pics.

And here is the pic they took with S, Nathan, and the judge, Josh Humphries after BIS. Thank You, Josh!!

Did I mention I think Myrtle has 3 BUCKS? How disapointing.... Though I'm not certain. We're going to evaluate them.

~ 3/16/12 ~

We have babies! Rose had 5 babies Saturday which two of were peanuts. That was quite a suprise as I thought she was a BUD. Oh well, I guess not. She has two Siamese Sables and a Himmie. Mask had four babies Monday which two were dead and one was a peanut so she has one himmie left. I gave her Peanut Butter's baby and placed Peanut Butter.

J2 also had one peanut and another stuck kit. She is now On Hold. She's a really nice doe but I'm keeping some does out of my litters and so I decided to sell her. She's also really tiny.

CE3 had a litter of four that didn't live long after birth. Three may have been peanuts. Not certain though. One was a Max Factor...... My first. And it was alive at first but died shortly after birth.

Myrtle had 9 babies Wednesday night!!! Even though three were dead, and two peanuts (Maybe three??) we are extremly excited about it as JAG is the sire! And I was suprised Myrtle was able to carry so many as she is really small!

The weather is warming up! It was around 85 yesterday until the rain hit and it cooled down a bit for the evening. And then it rained last night. Today is suppose to be 80 and a chance of rain this afternoon.

~ Facebook ~

I just started a Facebook page for our Rabbitry. Click here to come "Like" us!

We also have another litter. Peanut Butter had three babies but only one lived :(. The one that lived is a Blue Otter so thats exciting! She is in a climate controled area and is taking great care of the baby so I think it will be fine! We have four does coming due soon. Mask, Rose, J2, and CE3. We are hoping for some nice babies out of these Does!

Its suppose to be nice the next couple of days! Sunny and in the sixty's.

~ 3-6-12 ~

Everyone at the rabbitry right now are doing great! Here is an update on litters.

Jenelle "aka Jenny" has two Black bucks and a Black Otter doe. We are keeping the Black Otter doe and one of the Black bucks. The other black buck is available.

Emma has a Siamese Sable doe and two Himmie does. I am keeping the Siamese Sable doe. The Himmies are available. One is a BUD and the other is tiny.

Our Holland litter we are keeping for now. One of the Broken torts and the tort are does. The other broken is a buck.

Vixen's babies are too little to tell if their boys or girls but some have very cute heads :). Liberty and Chanelle's babies are great. One of Liberty's "himmies" is a Siamese Sable now.... Chanelle's blue passed away. I'm not sure what happened. I think it got away from the other babies and then got cold :(.

We also listed Edward and Emma to the For Sale page. You can see pictures of all the For Sale bunnies on my website. E-mail me if interested in any!

Thanks for reading!
